my name christina

minimalism ugly! maximalism pretty!

No, seriously - that’s basically my philosophy in life. Maximalist aesthetic, with all of its bells and whistles, has always appealed to me over the overtly sanitary vibe of minimalist spaces. I’ve realized that my tendency to be drawn to loud, colorful, cluttered, and homey areas has expanded into other areas of my life — thus, Maximalist Lifestyle.

My schedule is packed, not necessarily of traditionally “productive” tasks like work meetings or school assignments, but with almost every little thing I do, just to fill out my calendar space. I do like to keep busy, whether that be through volunteering, extracurriculars, or hobbies. Nothing I do is useless (as I keep trying to convince myself after an hour of mindless scrolling on social media).

And most importantly, this Maximalist Lifestyle of mine has informed my morals and ethics. Maximal generosity, social welfare, mutual aid, you name it — I’m for it.

a bit about me

Hi! I’m currently a Master’s student at Yale University studying ███████. I’ve worked foreign policy for the US government, dipped my toes in the nonprofit space, and most recently completed a stint in defense consulting. My background is a mixed bag of Linguistics, Russian, Music, etc.

Yea. I don’t know what I’m doing either.

In my free time you’ll find me solo camping (pictured to the left, also not smart), running very slowly, getting mad at the state of the world, and generally just trying my best.

But welcome to my website! Here you’ll find my hot takes (emphasis on hot), my productivity tips, comments on academia, and more.
